The commission will release the UPSC Geologist application form along with the official notification. The last date to apply for UPSC Geologist and Geo-scientist is October 27. UPSC Geo-Scientist and Geologist 2021 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates have to satisfy the below mentioned eligibility of UPSC Geologist Exam before filling the application forms-
UPSC Geo-Scientist and Geologist 2021 Age Limit –Â Â A candidate for this examination must have attained the age criteria as prescribed below:-
- For Geologist and Geophysicist and Chemist- The age should be between 21 to 32 years i.e. he/she must have been born after than January 1989, 2 and before than January 1, 2000.
- For Jr. Hydrogeologist (Scientist B)- The age should be between 21 to 35 years i.e. He/she must have been born after than January 2, 1986 and before than 1 January 2000.
UPSC Geo-Scientist and Geologist 2021 Educational Qualification
- For Geologist-Â Master’s degree in Geological Science or Geology or Applied Geology or Geo-Exploration or Mineral Exploration or Engineering Geology or Marine Geology or Earth Science and Resource Management or Oceanography and Coastal Areas Studies or Petroleum Geosciences or Petroleum Exploration or Geochemistry or Geological Technology or Geophysical Technology from a University
- For Geophysicist-Â M.Sc. in Physics or Applied Physics or M.Sc. (Geophysics) or Integrated M.Sc. (Exploration Geophysics) or M.Sc (Applied Geophysics) or M.Sc. (Marine Geophysics) Or M.Sc. (Tech.) (Applied Geophysics) from a University
- For Chemist-Â M. Sc. in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry from a University
- For Jr. Hydrogeologist- Master’s degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology or Master’s degree in Hydrogeology from a University
UPSC Geo-Scientist and Geologist 2021 Application Form
Only online application forms will be released. To access the same, eligible candidates need to visit the website, www.upsconline.nic.in. Direct link to fill the online application form is also updated above. The online application form will remain active till October 27. Candidates need to submit all the necessary details in the provided format and should upload a scanned copy of recent passport size photograph and signature. To complete the UPSC Geologist 2021 application form, candidates must not forget to submit the online application fee.
UPSC Geologist 2021 Application Fee
Candidates need to pay an amount of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using Visa/Master Credit/ Debit Card or by using the net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/ State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore. Candidates belonging to Female/SC/ST/ PH categories are exempted to pay the fee.Â

UPSC Geologist 2021 Admit Card
The admit card of UPSC Geologist 2021 exam will be uploaded on the official website of UPSC in the last week of January 2021. No Admit card will be sent through the post. Candidates whose application forms will be accepted by the Commission before the last date would be able to download the admit card. Link to download the admit card will also be updated here.
UPSC Geo-Scientist and Geologist 2021 Result
The written Geologist Exam result will be declared in the month of April/ May 2021. Candidates who successfully qualify the written examination with a minimum cut off marks will be called to appear for Main examination to be held in July 17, 2021. Final result will be announced in October 2021. Final UPSC Geologist Cutoff will be issued after the declaration of the final result.
