UPSC will shortly release the official notification of UPSC Prelims 2019 Examination for recruitment to approximately 700 posts stating the eligibility criteria of IAS 2019 examination. Aspirants can submit their online IAS Application form 19 February to 18 March 2019 till 06 PM. IAS 2019 is scheduled to be held on 02 June 2019. IAS Eligibility Criteria 2019 Nationality

Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply for UPSC Civil Services 2019 Examination. Make sure you have a valid ID proof stating your nationality. Candidates have to bring a valid ID proof along with the IAS 2019 admit card while appearing in the preliminary examination.

IAS Eligibility 2019 Age Limits

The age of the applicant must be between 21 years to 23 Years as on 01 August 2019 i.e. a candidate must have been born after than 2 August 1987 and before than 1 August 1998.

Note- Only Matriculation certificate or equivalent will be accepted as the proof of age.

IAS Eligibility 2019 Educational Qualifications

The candidate must possess a graduation degree of any of the recognised University or possess an equivalent qualification. Candidates appearing in the last year are also eligible to appear in the examination provided that they will hold a graduate degree before the main examination.

All the candidates who will be declared qualified by the Commission for appearing in the Civil Services (Main) Examination will be required to produce proof of passing the requisite exam while applying for the Main Exam. IAS 2019 Main Examination will be conducted on 20 September 2019.

IAS Eligibility Criteria 2019- Number of attempts

  • Every candidate is permitted for six attempts at the IAS examination.
  • The Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates are not restricted to this clause.
  • The candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes are permissible for nine attempts.
