CMS Exam Pattern 2020 (Paper 1 & 2) – UPSC will release the exam pattern of CMS 2020 or Combined Medical Service 2020. UPSC CMS 2020 Exam pattern contains the exam details like duration, total marks, subjects and more. Candidates preparing for Combined Medical Service 2020 should have the complete details on CMS exam pattern 2020. UPSC has delayed the UPSC CMS Notification. It is expected that the notification will be released in June 2020. The question papers for the exam will be created based on the UPSC CMS exam pattern 2020. CMS Exam Pattern 2020 (Paper 1 & 2)

  • The written exam will be held in Computer-based mode.
  • There will be 02 parts, Paper-1 & Paper-2
  • There will be negative marking for each incorrect answer i.e. 1/3rd Marks will be deducted.
  • Every question will have 4 alternatives as answer and candidates have to select the correct answer of the question.
  • The questions will be of objective type i.e (Multiple choice answers).
  • Paper 1 will have a total of 120 question (96 from General Medicine and 24 from Paediatrics)
  • Paper 2 will have 120 question on Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics and Preventive & Social Medicine.

CMS Exam Pattern 2020 for Personal Interview

Candidates who will be declared qualified in CMS 2020 written result are called to attend the Personal Interview. Candidates need to obtain the minimum cut off marks in order to get selected for the next level of the selection procedure.

Total Marks of Personal Interview- 100 Marks

Qualified candidates will be appointed to the post of Assistant Divisional Medical Officer, Assistant Medical Officer, General Duty Medical Officer in various departments of the Central Government.
