SSC JE Eligibility Criteria 2018-19– Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts an open competitive exam, for recruitment to the post of Junior Engineers (Civil, Electrical & Mechanical), Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted. The SSC Junior Engineer 2019 exam is likley to be held in the month of March/ April 2019. The online application form will be released from 15 December 2018. Prior to applying online, aspirants need to refer the complete SSC JE 2018 Eligibility Criteria. The eligibility norms include the minimum age limit and the educational qualification required. Any candidate who fail to satisfy the SSC JE Eligibility 2019 will not be able to submit the SSC JE application form. Read the below listed details on SSC JE Eligibility Criteria 2018.

SSC JE Eligibility Criteria 2018-19 Age Limit

  • For JE (Civil & Electrical) in CPWD and Department of Posts- The candidate’s age must be between 18-27 years.
  • For JE (Civil) & JE (Electrical & Mechanical) in MES- The candidate’s age should not exceed 30 years.
  • For JE (Civil & Mechanical) in CWC and Farakka Barrage- The candidate’s age must not exceed 32 years.
  • For JE (Quantity Surveying and Contract) in MES- The candidate’s age must be between 18-27 Years
  • For JE (Civil) & JE (Electrical &Mechanical) in Border Roads Organisation (BRO) of Ministry of Defence- The candidate’s age must not exceed 30 years

Junior Engineer, CPWD Diploma in Civil or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute or equivalent qualification
Junior Engineer, Department of Posts Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute or equivalent qualification or equivalent qualification
Junior Engineer, Border Roads Organisation (BRO)
Ministry of Defence
Diploma in Civil or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute or equivalent qualification.
Desirable
02 years of working experience in the relevant field of Engineering in the area of construction in monitoring and executive of projects.
Junior Engineer, MES Diploma in Civil or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute or equivalent qualification.
Desirable
02 years of working experience in the relevant field of Engineering in the area of construction in Planning, Execution and Maintenance of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering works.
OR
Passed Intermediate examination in Building and Quantity Surveying Sub Divisional -II of the institute of Surveyors (India).

Junior Engineer in CWC and Farakka
Barrage

Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute or equivalent qualification.

SSC JE Eligibility Criteria 2018-19- Nationality/Citizenship

Candidates must satisfy the listed norms for nationality-

  • An Indian Citizen
  • A Citizen of Nepal
  • A Citizen of Bhutan
  • A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Candidates who belong to the categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) need to produce a valid eligibility certificate, issued by the Government of India.

      Yes, you are eligible to appear in exam but make sure you have all the marksheet at the time for interview. Also, check the age limit.
