SSC JHT 2018– Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the SSC JHT Exam dates 2018. The Commission will hold an All India Open Competitive Exam, named as a Combined Jr. Hindi Translator in Subordinate Office/Hindi Pradhyapak Exam, on 13 January 2019. The examination will be conducted in online or computer-based mode. Candidates who qualify the test will be recruited to the posts of Junior Hindi Translators, Senior Hindi Translators, Junior Translators and Hindi Pradhyapak. SSC JHT 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

A candidate must be either:

  • Indian citizen, or
  • A person of Nepal, or
  • A person of Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1 January, 1962, with the intention to permanently settle in India, or (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Age Limit (as on 01 January 2019)

Candidate’s age should not exceed 30 years. Age relaxation as per government norms is also available.

Educational Qualification

    • For post codes ‘A’ to ‘D’– Candidates must have a Master‟s degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of exam at the degree level or vice-versa from a recognized University. Alongside, they must have a Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa, or should have 02 year’s experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office.
    • For post codes ‘E’ (Senior Hindi Translator)- Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of exam at the degree level or vice-versa from a recognized University. Alongside, the must have a Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa, or should have 02 year’s experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Offices.
    • For post code ‘F’ (Junior Translator / Junior Hindi Translator)- Candidates must have a Master‟s degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of exam at the degree level or vice-versa from a recognized University or a Bachelor’s degree with Hindi and English as main subjects.
  • For post code ‘G’ (Hindi Pradhyapak)- Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Hindi with English as one of the subject at degree level either as compulsory or optional from a recognized University or Institute, in addition, a Master’s degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute plus Bachelor of Education from a recognized University/Institute.

SSC JHT 2018- Application Form

Only online mode to submit the application form of SSC JHT 2018 Exam is available. Candidates can fill the online application form from 22 October to 19 November 2018. Direct link to fill the online form is available above or for more details candidates can visit the http://ssconline.nic.in/ssc/

To fill the online application form candidates have to submit an application fee of Rs.100/-(Rupees One Hundred only). Candidates can submit the application fee through SBI Challan/ Net banking and any credit and debit cards. The last date to pay the application fee through online mode is 21 November 2018 however, candidates can pay the fee through challan till 26 November 2018.

SSC JHT 2018 Exam Pattern

  • The paper 1 will be conducted in Computer Based Mode whereas the Paper 2 will be held in pen and paper mode.
  • There will be deduction of 0.25 marks for every wrong response in Paper-I as negative marking.

SSC JHT 2018 Admit Card

Admit card of the SSC JHT 2018 exam will be issued 03 weeks prior to the examination. SSC JHT 2018 is scheduled to be held on 13 January 2019. All regional SSC’s will issue separate SSC JHT Admit card for their respective applicants. Candidates can download their admit card from the respective regional website under which they have applied.

SSC JHT 2018 Result

The result of SSC JHT 2018 paper 1 will be announced in the month of March 2019. The SSC Junior Hindi Translator result will be issued online on the official website of the SSC. Selected candidates are found eligible for the paper-2 exam that will be held in April 2019. Selection will be made as per the performance of the candidates in both Paper-1 & Paper-2 Examination.
