1. Focus on Accuracy

Accuracy is very important in order to score well in the examination. As there will be negative marking for each wrong answer, so do not attempt questions you are not sure about. Start answering the paper with your strongest section as it will boost your confidence and it will also help you to save time. Do not waste time on any particular question and move on to the next question whenever you face any difficulty while solving the question.

2. Give ample time to Revision

Before the examination, always try to spend last two weeks in the revision. Revise everything that you have studied till now. Go through each and every topic and try to not miss any topic mentioned in the syllabus. Study topic wise and stick strictly to the SSC CGL syllabus. Do not get diverted and do not waste time on topics that have less or no weightage in the examination.

3. Memorize squares, cubes, important tricks

As the examination is time based, it is very important to learn fast approach to solve questions. Opt for shortcut methods; memorize tricks, cubes, squares, tables to avoid long calculation. Another important method to save time during the examination is to read the questions first while solving the passage. Read the question and then look for answers in the passage. Solve practice sets, take a mock test as it will help you to understand the examination pattern and you will also develop the habit of solving practice sets within time duration. Another benefit of solving previous year paper is that you come across variety of questions and you learn new methods and techniques to solve questions. Another advantage of taking Mock tests is that it helps you to figure out your strong and weak areas. This way you get another chance to pay extra attention  to your weak areas which help you perform well in the examination.

5. Stay Calm and Confident

Many students ignore this important factor, but staying calm and confident before the examination is very important. Don’t get panic and trust your preparation. 6. Sleep well before the examination

Nowadays students have a tendency of studying late at night. But do not do this before the night of your examination. Sleep for at least 7-8 hours to keep your mind and body relax while taking the examination.  So sleep well and eat well before the examination.
