PSTET 2026 – Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has announce the Punjab TET 2026 exam date. The online application form for Punjab Tearcher’s Eligibility Test 2026 will be issued in January 2026. PSTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Aspirants have to satisfy all the mentioned eligibility criteria in order to apply for the PSTET 2026 Exam. Ineligible candidates will not be allowed to appear in the Punjab TET Exam 2026.
Minimum Educational Qualifications for Classes I-V (Primary Stage):
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- yr Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-yr Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
OR
Graduation and two year Diploma in Elementary Education (passed or appearing).
Minimum Educational Qualifications for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage)
Graduate Degree with 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (passed or appearing in final year)
OR
Graduate Degree with a minimum of 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) (passed or appearing)
OR
Graduate Degree with a minimum 45% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) (passed or appearing), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

PSTET 2026 Exam Pattern
- The PSTET Exam Paper will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with 04 alternatives having 01 correct answers.
- For each correct answer, one mark will be awarded and there will be no negative marking for incorrect answer
There will be two papers of PSTET
(i) Paper I- Candidates who want to be a teacher for classes I to V can apply for this paper
(ii) Paper II- Candidates who want to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII can apply for this paper
Note: If a candidate wants to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) then they have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).

The admit card of Punjab TET 2026 Exam will be uploaded on its official website in March 2026. Punjab TET 2026 Answer Key
The exam authorities will release the answer key of PSTET 2026 in March 2026 at pstet.pseb.ac.in. Candidates will need their application number and password to download the Punjab TET answer key. The answer key of PSTET exam 2026 will help candidates to calculate their scores in the exam.
