PSTET Eligibility Criteria 2022– Punjab Board will release the eligibility criteria of PSTET 2022 in November 2022. PSTET 2022 eligibility criteria will be released along with the brochure at pstet.pseb.ac.in. To apply for PSTET 2022 Exam, candidates have to read all the conditions of PSTET eligibility 2022. Graduate candidates satisfying any of the listed eligibility norm can apply for the PSTET 2022.

Punjab TET 2022 is the minimum requirement for all the aspirants who want to become Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage) and for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage). PSTET application form will be available online in the month of November 2022. Only eligible candidates will be able to appear in the examination hence, read all the norms carefully prior to apply online.

Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage):

Sr. Secondary (or its equivalent) with a min. of 50% marks and 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (passed or appearing in final year)

OR

Sr. Secondary (or its equivalent) with a min. of 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (passed or appearing in final year)

OR

Sr. Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) (passed or appearing in final year)

OR

Sr. Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) (passed or appearing in final year)

OR

Graduation and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (passed or appearing in final year).

Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (passed or appearing in final year)

Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and 1-yr Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) (passed or appearing in final year)

OR

Graduation with a minimum of 45% marks and 1-yr Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) (passed or appearing)

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and 4-yr Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) (passed or appearing in final year )

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and 4-yr B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed. (passed or appearing in final year)

OR

Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and 1-yr B.Ed. (Special Education) (passed or appearing)

PSTET 2022 Eligibility Criteria- Important Details

  1. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled categories can avail relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks
  2. *Diploma/Degree Course in Teacher Education must be recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). However, in case of B.ED. (Special Education) and Diploma in Education (Special Education) must be recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
  3. Candidates with D.Ed. (Special Education) or B.Ed. (Special Education) qualification shall undergo a 6-month Special Programme in Elementary Education after appointment
  4. Candidates who are appearing in the final year of Bachelor Degree in Education or Diploma in Elementary Education etc. are provisionally admitted and their PSTET 2022 Certificate shall be valid only on passing the aforesaid Examinations.
  5. Candidates who fail to satisfy above mentioned eligibility criteria will not be available to appear in Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test.
