RBI Grade B Eligibility Criteria 2026– RBI has released the detailed eligibility criteria of RBI Grade B 2026 Officer. RBI Grade B 2026 eligibility criteria include the age limit, minimum qualification, nationality and number of attempts. Only eligible candidates will be allowed to apply for the exam. Hence, all aspirants must check the complete RBI Grade B eligibility 2026 before filling the RBI Grade B application forms.

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will hold the phase 1 of RBI Grade B Officer 2026 Examination for recruitment to the posts of Officers in Grade ‘B’ (General, DEPR & DISM) in RBI on June 13 and 14. Read the article to get the complete RBI Grade B eligibility 2026.

RBI Grade B Eligibility Criteria 2026- Nationality

  • Candidates must be an Indian citizen
  • Citizens of Nepal and Bhutan, who have Indian origin.
  • Persons who have migrated from Myanmar and Sri Lanka with the intention of permanently settling in India

Candidates belonging to last 02 categories should have an Eligibility Certificate have been issued by the Government of India.

RBI Grade B Eligibility Criteria 2026- Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree with 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PWD)
  • A minimum 60% marks in Class 12th (or Diploma or equivalent) Examination
  • Post-Graduation in any discipline / Equivalent professional qualification with at least 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD applicants)
RBI Grade B Officer (DEPR)Master’s Degree in Economics / Econometrics/ Quantitative Economics/ Mathematical Economics/ Integrated Economics Course/ Finance, with at least 55% aggregate marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PWD) or an equivalent grade from a recognised Indian or Foreign University /Institute
RBI Grade B Officer (DISM)

Master’s Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/ Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay at least 55% marks or equivalent grade (50% in case of SC/ST/PWD)

OR

Master’s Degree in Mathematics with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade (50% in case of SC/ST/PWD) and one year post graduate diploma in Statistics or related subjects from a reputed institute

OR

M. Stat. Degree of Indian Statistical Institute with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade (50% in case of SC/ST/PWD)

OR

Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) jointly offered by ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade (50% in case of SC/ST/PWD).

Aggregate Grade Point or percentage of marks where awarded would mean aggregate over the entire duration of the course. Check the CGPA points and their equivalent aggregate marks

RBI Grade B Eligibility 2026 Age Limit

Candidate’s age should be between 21 to 30 years on April 01, 2026. For M. Phil and Ph. D candidates, the upper age limit will be 32 and 34 years, respectively. He/she must have been born not earlier than April 2, 1996 and not later than April 1, 2005.

RBI Grade B 2026 Eligibility Criteria- Number of attempts

The maximum number of attempts for RBI Grade B 2026 exam is Six (06) for candidates belonging to General category. However, there is no restriction for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates i.e. they can attempt the exam as many times they can.
