All the colleges of Rajasthan accept the JEE Main scores except the IITs as they shortlist candidates through JEE Advanced. There is no separate state- level entrance examination to fill the engineering seat. However, the counselling process to get a seat in desired college will be organized by Rajasthan Technical University with the name of REAP (Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process). With the highest population in the country, Uttar Pradesh is one of the emerging destinations for engineering. From past many years, this state has contributed a lot in providing the best talents to the country. The state has more than 45 universities, including 5 central universities, 28 state universities, 8 deemed universities, two IITs, one IIM, one NIT, two IIITs, and several engineering colleges and industrial training institutes. The premium companies that recruit the engineering students include EXL, American Express, Accenture, Cognizant, CITI Bank and HSBC Bank.

The colleges of Uttar Pradesh accept scores of JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination) and UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Engineering Entrance Exam) scores to select the eligible candidates. However, IIT Kanpur considers scores of JEE Advanced to fill UG seats. There are a total of 1.07 lakh engineering seats in Uttar Pradesh. It is considered as a major centre of learning. The state is continuously striving to enhance the female literacy, now at 53.3%, as the government establishes educational institutions. At the time of independence, women’s literacy in Bihar was 4.22%. If we talk about the women safety, then this is the safest place with 0.25 assault rate.

According to a survey by Pratham Education Foundation, it has been recorder that the receptivity of children of Bihar to their teaching is better than those of other states. The National Employability Report of Engineering Graduates, 2014 puts graduates from Bihar in the top 25 percent of the country, and rating Bihar as one of the three top states at producing engineering graduates in terms of quality and employability.

Apart from JEE Main, BCECE (Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination) is the state-level examination for engineering entrance but to get admission in IIT and NIT only JEE rank is considered. The BCECEB issues application forms in the month of February and conducts the examination in May, every year.
