CAT is generally divided into 5 sections, which are as follows:

  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Data Interpretation
  • Logical Reasoning
  • Reading Comprehension
  • Verbal Ability

Each section carries equal marks so it will be wrong to give importance to just one or two sections. Go through the syllabus and plot a systematic plan according to the difficulties you face in solving questions. Make a whole week’s timetable such that every section is included in the study hours. Be honest with yourself while following the schedule.

You can manage your time by dividing it into three phases which are-

  • Basics
  • Practice and
  • Testing

1. Basics- If you don’t feel comfortable in any topics, you should start them from the basic level. Clearing your basics from the initial level will help you a lot while preparing for CAT. In the end time, you will just need to revise the topics once only if your basics are clear. In this way, you can save your energy as well as your time. Make a notebook and mark all the queries you face while preparing for different sections. Solve these problems and go through them before giving the final exam, in this way you will be able to solve questions without many hurdles.
