XAT Exam Pattern 2025– XLRI Jamshedpur will release the final exam pattern of XAT 2025, along with official brochure. XAT 2025 exam pattern will consist the number of question asked, total test duration, subjects covered and more. Aspirants must be aware of the complete XAT paper pattern to prepare well for the test. Candidates seeking admission to the XLRI Jamshedpur for the academic session from 2025-26 must take the XAT 2025, also referred as Xavier’s Aptitude Test.

It is conducted to select the eligible candidates for various XLRI Institutes across the country. Based on XAT Scores and the XAT cut off, candidates will be shortlisted. Here, we have mentioned the XAT 2025 exam pattern to help aspirants in preparation. To get the complete hold on XAT exam pattern and the difficulty level of XAT 2025, candidates are suggested to solve maximum number of previous year’s papers & XAT 2025 sample papers.

It is important for the candidates to be well prepared for the written test and score as high as possible in order to get through the test and be allotted a seat in either of the management XLRI institutes.

XAT Exam Pattern 2025

• The XAT 2025 is a national level online entrance test.
• There will be two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2. These papers have further sections
• Paper 1 will have a total of 75 questions. This Paper will include questions on Decision Making, Verbal & Logical Ability and Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation.
• Paper 2 will consist of a total of 26 questions. These will be subjective type questions based on the general awareness of the candidate and essay writing skills.
• XAT exam duration is 3 hours 10 minutes. There will be no extra time given to the candidates to answer the paper.
• Given below is the distribution of questions that will be asked from each section –

XAT 2025 Exam Pattern

Paper 1

1. Decision Making – 26 questions
2. Verbal & Logical Ability – 23 questions
3. Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation – 29 questions

Paper 2

1. General Awareness – 25 questions
2. Essay type Answer – 1 question

XAT 2023 Marking scheme

As per the XAT exam pattern, the marking scheme of the exam is as follows:

• 1 mark will be awarded for each right answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
• 0.10 marks will be deducted for more than 8 unanswered consecutive questions.
• No negative marking for GK section.
• General Knowledge (GK) section scores will not be considered for XAT.

The candidates who qualify the test will be called for counselling which will be conducted online. The XAT result will be put up online on the website for the candidates to check their score. They will need their roll number to check their results on the official XLRI website.
