- June 13, 2021 – According to TOI reports, School in Rajasthan will start the new session from June 15, 2021. However, the school will remain closed.

Uttar Pradesh government has started unlocking. The schools in Uttar Pradesh will reopen for teachers and administrative staff from July 1. According to the NDTV news, B Kalyan Chakravarthy, Secondary Education Department’s Principal Secretary has instructed the officials of district administrations to resume online classes for students. School Reopening in Delhi
The Delhi government declared the summer vacation from April 20 to June 9. Delhi schools were opened from June 10 for teachers and admin staff. On June 11, Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister stated that all Class 9 and 11 students are promoted and the results will be announced based on their performance in mid-term exams or on the basis of the average marks obtained in the best 2 of 5 main subjects. School Reopening in Rajasthan
Bikaner Sourabh Swami, Director Secondary Education said that they sent a proposal stating the decision of reopening of schools in Rajasthan. The admissions in state’s government schools will conclude on July 15, 2021. The mid-vacation will commence from November 3 to 13, 2021 and winter break will commence from December 25 to 31.
After the completion of final and board examinations in 2022, the next session will commence from May 1, 2022. The summer holidays will start from May 17 to June 30, 2022.
School Reopening in Odisha
Considering the possibility of a third wave of Covid-19, Odisha school reopening may not happen anytime soon. Schools in Odisha are closed from March 16, 2019 due to rise in Covid-19 cases. Samir Ranjan Dash, school and mass education minister said that the health of students is a priority for the state government and they are closely reviewing the situation regularly.
Dash said, “We cannot compromise with the health of students. That’s why the government will closely monitor the situation and chief minister Naveen Patnaik will take a call on school reopening at the right time.” He said there was a possibility of discussing reopening of schools with falling Covid19 cases, but the prediction of a third wave forced them to wait.
School Reopening in Maharashtra
Maharashtra state is still encountering 10,000+ cases of Coronavirus. Reopening schools in Maharastra is not safe considering the current scenario. The new academic session will start from June 14, 2021. Maharashtra has started unlocking in the state with safety precautions and it was expected to resume the schools from June 28. However, there is no concrete decision on when school will reopen in Maharashtra. The schools will only be reopened after the Covid-19 situation is under-control in the state.
