CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2025 – Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) will release the eligibility criteria of CLAT 2025. Students must read the all terms of CLAT 2025 eligibility criteria before filling the application. CLAT Eligibility criteria include the age limit, nationanlity, minimum qualifying marks and education required. Students who fail to meet the eligibility criteria of CLAT 2025 won’t be able to apply for the law entrance test. There is no age limit to apply for CLAT examination.

CLAT 2025 is scheduled to be held in November 2024 for admission to 5-year integrated and LLM courses offered by 22 participating NLUs. All applicants should produce the documents stating their eligibility during counselling process. Hence, it is mandatory for all aspirants to read the mentioned CLAT 2025 eligibility criteria-

CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2025 for UG Courses

  • Minimum Education– Aspirants must have passed class XII or equivalent with 45% aggregate marks.
  • The minimum qualifying marks for candidates of SC, ST categories are 40%.
  • Students who are appearing in the class XII exam in the year 2020 are also eligible for the exam. However, they should produce the required documents during the counselling process, if qualified. If the candidates are not able to show their documents at the time of verification, then they will not be provided admission even after qualifying the exam.
  • Age LimitThere is no upper age limit.
  • Number of Attempts- There is no limitation of number of attempts. Students can appear for CLAT as many times they want.

CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2025 for PG Courses

  • Minimum Education– Candidates must possess an LLB or equivalent degree with a minimum of 55% marks.
  • A relaxation of 5% is provided to the candidates of reserved (SC, ST) categories.
  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam in 2020 are also eligible for the exam, provided that they can provide the required documents at the time of verification.
  • Age Limit– There is no upper age limit for the exam.
  • Number of Attempts- There is no limitation of number of attempts. Students can appear for CLAT as many times they want.
  • Nationality- Both Indian NRI candidates can apply for CLAT 2025.
