NMMS Eligibility Criteria 2025- Age Limit, Qualification

NMMS Eligibility Criteria 2025- Candidates willing to apply for NMMS exam must check the eligibility for the exam. The officials will release the NMMS 2025 eligibility criteria along with the official notification in September/October. The eligibility criteria of NMMS 2025 include age limit, minimum family income, minimum marks required and more. 

Before applying to the NMMS 2025, candidates should have complete knowledge of eligibility criteria. Below is the NMMS exam eligibility

NMMS Eligibility Criteria 2025

• Candidates should be studying in class VII.
• Parental income should be less than Rs. 1,50,000 per annum.
• The minimum required marks should be 55% in class VI.
• To continue receiving the scholarship, students must obtain 55% in class XI and XII (reserved categories need to obtain 50%).
• Students studying in Kendriya Vidyalayas, Sainik Schools, and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas are not eligible to apply for the NMMS exams.
• Students from private schools and state government schools that provide boarding, lodging, and other facilities are also not eligible to apply for the NMMS exam 2025.

NMMS Eligibility 2025- Who is Not Eligible for the NMMS Scholarship?

Students studying in institutions such as NVS (Navodaya Vidyalayas), KVS (Kendriya Vidyalayas), Sainik Schools, or private schools are not eligible for the NMMS scholarship.

Additionally, students attending residential schools or other schools adopted by the state government are also ineligible for NMMS 2025.

NMMS Eligibility Criteria 2025 – For Continuation of Scholarship

The NMMS scholarship is awarded to selected students for their studies from Classes 9 to 12. To continue receiving the scholarship from Classes 9 to 12, students must meet the following eligibility criteria for 2025:

• Students must obtain a minimum of 60% marks in Class 10 to continue the scholarship in higher classes.
• Students belonging to the SC/ST category must score at least 55% marks.
• Students must pass their exams and be promoted from Class 9 to Class 10 and from Class 11 to Class 12 in the first attempt.

NMMS 2025 Application Form

• Candidates who are studying in recognized schools in class VIII can apply for the NMMS Scholarship 2025.
• All States and Union Territories will publish the online NMMS application form on their official websites in PDF format.
• During the form submission, students must attach the required documents mentioned in the application form.
• The completed application form should be filled out and submitted to the head of the school.
• The exam form can also be obtained online or offline from the Liaison Officer appointed in each Union Territory.
• Selected students will receive Rs. 1000 per month to support their secondary education.

NMMS Application Form Documents Required 

• Two passport size photos
• Xerox copy of SC/ST Certificate 
• Xerox Copy of Report Card of Class Vll Exams.
• Income Certificate from the competent authority
• Disability Certificate from the Competent Authority.
