JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria 2019 – Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will conduct the JEE Advanced 2019 for admission to various undergraduate engineering programmes offered by 16 IITs, located at Bombay, Delhi, Jodhpur, Indore, Madras, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Ropar, Hyderabad, Roorkee, Bhubaneshwar, Patna, Mandi, Gandhinagar, and Varanasi. JEE Advanced is a national level computer-based entrance test, to be conducted on 27 May 2019. Only to 2,45,000 JEE Main Qualifiers will be able to appear in the JEE Advanced 2019. Candidates have to apply for the JEE Advanced by providing their JEE Main 2019 rank, scores and other mandatory information.

JEE Advanced Eligibility 2019

Criterion 1- JEE Main 2019 Candidates should have qualified the JEE Main 2019 before applying for JEE Advanced
Criterion 2- Performance in JEE Main 2019 Candidate’s rank in JEE Main should be below than 2, 45, 000* (including all categories) in Paper 1. The percentage of various categories are as follows:
OBC NCL- 27%.
SC- 15%
ST- 7.5%
Open for all- 50.5%
Criterion 3- Number of Attempts Candidates can only appear in JEE (Advanced) two times in 02 consecutive years.
Criterion 4- Qualifying Examination Candidates must have qualified Class 12th or intermediate exam for the first time in either 2018 or 2019.
Criterion 5- Age Limit Candidates should have been born on or after 01 October 1994.  SC, ST and PwD candidates can avail the 05 years’ of relaxation i.e. they should be born  on or after 01 October 1989
Criterion 6- Earlier Admission at IITs If a candidate got admission in any of the IITs previously, then he/she should are not eligible for JEE Advanced 2019 irrespective of whether or not he/she continued in the program.
Candidates who studied in a preparatory course in any of the IITs for the first time in 2018 can appear in JEE Advanced 2019.
