IBPS Clerk Preparation Tips 2024– Banking is one of the most preferred career options among graduates these days. Every year, a large number of candidates appear in the IBPS clerk examination conducted by the autonomous body, The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS).  The test is conducted every year in the month of December. The examination consists of mainly two parts:

  • IBPS Preliminary Examination
  • IBPS Main Examination

IBPS Clerk 2024 preliminary examination contains 100 questions and 1 hour will be given to the candidates to solve the questions, whereas the Main examination contains 200 questions and the time duration is 2 hours. So you need to be really quick to attempt all the questions. Additional time of half an hour is generally given to the candidates of the differently abled category.

To begin your preparation, it is advisable to go through the syllabus first. The examination consists of five sections, which include: Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, General Awareness (Part of Mains only), Computer Knowledge (Part of Mains) and English Language. To begin your preparation, start with practicing all the sections, at least one hour a day.

Start your preparation by making a study plan. Prepare a chart and divide your time according to the subjects. If you want to give more time to a particular subject, then plan your study schedule accordingly.

IBPS Clerk Preparation Tips 2024- Practice Quantitative Aptitude Regularly

 It is one of the toughest sections for those who are weak in mathematics and calculations. As the section is a bit tricky and takes more time than other sections, it is very important to practice quantitative sums more and more.  To score well in this section, you really need to devote 2 hours in a day to this section.

IBPS Clerk Preparation Tips 2024- English Language

The level of question is quite easy in this section. Revise parts of speech, tenses and grammar rules, and you will definitely manage to score well. Also, increase your vocabulary and learn at least ten new words daily. Also, make a notebook and write down 10-20 new words daily. It will help you to increase your vocabulary. Read English newspapers, magazines and books to improve your English.

IBPS Clerk Preparation Tips 2024- Reasoning ability

 This section also demands regular practice. Go through each and every topic and practice ten questions from 2-3 topics daily. It will help you to cover the topics easily, and you will also get time to revise them. The level of the question is easy to average. With regular practice, you can score in this section too.

 This section looks easy to many, but in reality, it is the trickiest section. Read newspapers, watch the news daily, follow banking and economy related news. By following these things, you will surely clear this section. Also prepare Static General Knowledge like countries, capital, and currency.

IBPS Clerk Preparation Tips 2024- Computer Knowledge

 To prepare for this section, start from the basic and study as per the syllabus. This section is easy for those who had a computer as a subject in school or college. The questions are generally very basic and easy to answer. Also, learn the shortcut keys.
