UKPSC conducts UKPCS Judicial Services Exam for recruitment of eligible candidates to the post of Civil Judge (Junior Division). Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in Preliminary Examination followed by Main Exam and Personal Interview. Uttarakhand Civil Judge Syllabus 2022 for Prelims Exam

Prelims Examination consists of two parts, Part-1 & Part-2. Part-1 will be of 50 Marks whereas part two will be of 150 marks. All the question will be of Objective type and the candidates will be provided 03 hours to solve the both parts.

Part I–General Knowledge– The question in this section will be based on day to day happenings around India and the world specifically in the legal areas such as international law, recent legislation pronouncement particularly Indian Constitution, neutrality, legal aspects, & law and development.

Part II– This paper will contain questions from the following Acts and Laws

Uttarakhand Judiciary Syllabus for The Present Day Paper

Candidate’s knowledge on daily happening in India and the world mainly related to legal areas and his ability to express in English will be tested in this paper. The questions should be answered in essay form and the topics asked will related to jurisprudence, neutrality, international law, recent legislation, Indian Constitutional law and developments.

The marks will be awarded on the basis of the substance and expression while deduction will be made for bad expression, consisting of improper use of grammar, words etc.

The field will be that covered by the Law of Evidence, the Criminal Procedure Code and Code of Civil Procedure, including the principles of pleading.
