SSC CGL 2016- Re-Exam Dates Issued

SSC CGL 2016 Re-exam dates has been issued officially.

Latest News– The Staff Selection Commission has conducted the CGLE 2016 from 27 August 2016 to 11 September 2016 in the Computer Based Mode in 43 Batches at almost 415 exam venues in 96 cities throughout the country. While at Srinagar Centre, the Combined Graduate Level Examination was held on 25 September 2016.

A total of 38.04 lakh candidates registered for the exam, however, only 14.99 lakh candidates appeared in the exam. Due to administrative reasons, the Commission has decided to hold a re-exam for one Shift i.e. the Second Shift (Batch-II) of the CGLE Tier-I which was conducted on 27 August 2016 at 4.15 PM – 5.30 PM. The re-exam is scheduled to be held on 27 October 2016 only for those candidates who had appeared in Batch-II on 27 August 2016. Further details in this regard will be intimated to the candidates separately in due course. The SSC CGL Tier-I Result 2016 is tentative to be declared on 08 November 2016, and the tentative dates of SSC CGLE (Tier-II) 2016 are 30 November 2016 to 02 December 2016.

The SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam 2016 has been postponed. The exam will now be held in August 2016. Earlier, it was scheduled to be held on 08 May 2016 and 22 May 2016.

SSC CGL 2016 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

A candidate must be either:

• A citizen of India, or
• A subject of Nepal, or
• A subject of Bhutan, or
• A Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 01 January, 1962 and wants to settle permanently in India, or (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar ), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam and wants to settle permanently in India.

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Age Limit- Age limit has been mentioned along with the respective posts. Relaxation for candidates belonging to reserved categories is also provided as per the government norms.

• For OBC (Other Backward Classes)- 03 Years
• For SC/ ST- 05 Years
• For Physically Handicapped (PH)- 10 Years
• For PH + OBC- 13 Years
• For PH + SC/ST- 15 Years

Educational Qualification

1. Compiler- Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University with Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as compulsory or Elective subject.
2. Statistical Investigator (Grade – II)- Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% in Mathematics at 12th standard level: OR Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
3. All other Posts- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.

SSC CGL 2016 Application Form

Candidates who are willing to take the examination can fill the application form of SSC CGL 2016 Exam either by online or offline mode. Online application form will be uploaded on the Official Website of SSC on 13 February 2015. The last date to fill the application form is 14 March 2015. Candidates are advised to read the instruction for filling the application form, carefully, without skipping any point. SSC CGL 2016 Admit Card

Admit card of SSC CGL 2016 (Tier-1) will be issued 03 weeks prior to the examination i.e. 02nd week of April 2016. Candidates will be able to download the admit card from the regional website of SSC under which they have applied. Candidates will need their registration number and date of birth to download the same. Every candidate must have their respective admit card in order to take the examination.

SSC CGL 2016 Result

Within 02 months, after commencement of the exam, result of SSC CGL (Tier-1) will be issued on the official website of SSC. SSC CGL Result will be updated in the form of PDF file wherein the roll number and the name of the selected candidates will be mentioned. Candidates have to search their roll number in the result file.
