NDA 1 2026 Notification
The official NDA 2026 notification contains complete details about the exam including the NDA exam pattern, eligibility, syllabus, and more. UPSC will release the NDA 1 notification on December 10. The notification will be released in pdf format online on upsc.gov.in.
NDA 1 2026 Vacancies
The details of NDA 1 vacancies 2026 will be issued with the notification. The tentative total number of posts to be filled are mentioned below:—
- National Defence Academy- 370 (208 for Army, 42 for Navy and 120 for Air Force)
- Naval Academy- 30 (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme)

NDA 1 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates have to fulfill all terms and conditions listed in the NDA 2026 Eligibility criteria before filling the forms. No ineligible candidate will be allowed to apply for the UPSC NDA 1 2026, hence, read all the conditions carefully before filling the registration form.
Nationality- Only Indian candidates who have a valid ID proof of Indian nationality are eligible for NDA 2026 Examination.
NDA 1 2026 Age Limit, Marital Status & Sex– The unmarried male candidates, who are born after January 2, 2007 and before January 1, 2010 can, apply for the NDA exam 2026.
Education Qualification
- For Army wing of National Defence Academy – Candidates who have qualified 12th Class/ Intermediate Exam or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University can apply for Army Wing of NDA.
- For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy – Candidates who have qualified 12th Class/ Intermediate Exam or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
- Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination can also apply for UPSC NDA 1 Exam.
NDA 1 2026 Application Form
The online application form for NDA 1 2026 will be released on NDA official website- upsc.gov.in. Incomplete and application forms of ineligible candidates will not be accepted by the Commission. Only online mode of submitting the NDA 1 application form will be available. Hence, candidates are suggested to either click the given link (to be provided after its official release) or visit the official website. - Go to the Official website of UPSC or click the above-provided link to apply online for UPSC NDA & NA (1) Exam 2026.
- Click the link “UPSC Online Applications” available on the left side of the home page.
- Select “Online Application NDA & NA (I) 2026 Exam”
- Fill all the required details in the online NDA 1 2026 application form and upload a scanned image of a recent photograph along with the signature.
- Now, submit the application fee of Rs. 100/- either by cash or by using net banking facility or by using any Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit Card.
- Take print copy of the Confirmation page for further use
NDA 1 2026 Selection Procedure
Eligible and suitable candidates will be short-listed after evaluating their performance in the written examination followed by SSB Test/Interview.

- The question papers of NDA & NA Exam 2026 will comprise Objective Type Question and will be set bilingually i.e. in Hindi & in English.
- There will be negative marking for marking incorrect answers.
- Only Black ball point pen should be used while making any entry in the answer sheet.
- The candidates are not allowed to use a calculator or Mathematical or logarithmic table.
SSB Test/ Personal Interview- Candidates who qualify the written examination with minimum NDA Cut off marks will be called to appear in SSB Test/ Interview. The SSB test will be of 900 Marks

The question in this section will be asked on different sections that are Physics, Chemistry, General Science, Social Studies, Geography and Current Event.
NDA 1 Admit Card
The eligible candidates whose application forms will be accepted before the last date will be able to download the e-admit card in April 2026. NDA 1 admit card 2026 will be released 03 weeks prior to the commencement of the NDA 1 Exam 2026. NDA 1 Admit Card will be made available on the official website of UPSC’s website. Candidates should note that no admit card will be sent through the post. Candidates should have their Registration ID and date of birth details to download the admit card.
NDA 1 Result
The result of NDA 1 Exam 2026 will be uploaded on the main web portal of UPSC, in the form of pdf file. The written result of NDA 1 exam will be declared in the month of June 2026. Candidates have to check their roll number in the NDA 1 Result file. Only short-listed candidates will be called to appear in the SSB Test/ Interview.
NDA 1 Cut off 2026
Candidates should attain the minimum NDA 2026 cutoff marks to clear the written test & interview. The final cutoff marks will be released after the result declaration.

- Written Cutoff (Out of 900)- 338 (With at least 25 % marks in each Subject)

NDA 1 2026 Preparation Tips
- Read the newspaper to get the hold on the General Ability section.
- Solve at least 10 previous year’s papers to get an idea of the type of question and mark distribution.
- Prepare all topics of the syllabus and make short notes.
- Revise the syllabus as many times you can.
- Make a proper study schedule and stick to it in order to cover the complete syllabus
