Animals have been part of our lives since ancient times and everyone has a special connection with an animal. We depend on animals for many things and keeping pets has become a popular hobby. Whether its a dog, cat or any other animal, we choose pets that suits us. Pets not only provide companionship but also add to our lives. Animals known for their innocence and loyalty form a special bond with their owners. I too have this bond and have a pet dog named Cairo, a German Shepherd.

10 Lines on My Pet Dog

• My dog Cairo is very smart and loyal. My father brought him home when Cairo was just a pup. Cairo is black in color and his eyes are striking. He has become my best friend and listens to all my commands.
• When Cairo was 2 years old he was very nervous and calm. Over time he became more playful and a bigger part of my life.
• Cairo is not just a pet; he’s a part of our family. He loves to play but also serves as a security guard for our home making us feel safe with his presence.
• Cairo is always alert and can detect sounds especially at night. His sense of smell helps him to notice any unusual or unfamiliar smell around him making him a good watch dog.
• Cairo is quick and friendly and befriends all our guests, neighbors and relatives. He loves to play with them and never hurts anyone. Everyday morning and evening Cairo goes for a walk and loves to travel.
• Cairo has participated in many animal competitions and has won a few. His speed and courage leaves people amazed and sometimes I wonder if he should have been in the army.
• Cairo is very particular about cleanliness. He loves baths and is always clean. He always uses the backyard for his needs so our home remains spotless. He is a partner in all our joys and sorrows.
• Cairo loves to jump and sniff around him which gives us and him lots of exercise and entertainment.Animals: We should treat all animals with humanity whether its dogs, cats or others. Unfortunately during festivals like Diwali or Holi some people harass animals by painting them or tying firecrackers to their tails. This is not only cruel but also a crime.
• No animal should be mistreated. Animals like Cairo who have been with us for years are our loyal companions and deserve our respect. We should honor their loyalty and the bond they share with us.
