NEET Eligibility Criteria 2021- NTA (National Testing Agency) will release the complete eligibility criteria of NEET 2021. Candidates will be able to check the NTA NEET 2021 eligibility criteria at ntaneet.nic.in. NEET eligibility criteria 2021 includes age limit, education qualification, 12th percentage required for NEET 2021, qualifying marks and more. There is no upper age limit for NEET 2021. Before filling the NEET application form, candidates should satisfy the below given terms of NTA NEET exam eligibility. Candidates do note that NTA will reject the forms of ineligibile candidates. NEET Eligibility Criteria 2021
- Nationality– Candidate must be Indian National/ NRIs/ OCIs/ PIOs/ Foreign Nationals.
- Age Limit- The minimum age limit for NEET UG 2021 is 17 years. There is no upper age limit for NEET 2021.
- Qualifying Examination- Candidates must have qualified their class 12th or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology or any other relevant subject with English. The 12th percentage required for NEET 2021 is 50% marks for General category candidates. While the NEET eligibility marks in 12th is 45% for PwD and 40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates in PCB. Candidates appearing in the 12th class exams are also eligible for NEET 2021.
- Number of Attempts– There is no maximum number of attempts.
NEET Eligibility Criteria 2021 – Qualifying Examination Codes Details
Code 1: Candidates who will appear in Class 12 board exams in 2021 should select this code. Such candidates must posses the passing certificate before appearing in the counselling process
Code 2: Candidates who have passed the Class 12 in the year 2020 or before with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and Maths or any other subjects with English as a major subject and have not pursued any other course after 12th have to choose this code.
Code 3: Candidates who have completed their 12th/ Pre-degree exam in Science of a recognised University/Board or other recognized body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and also English as a compulsory subject must choose this code. The course should have a practical test in science subjects. Candidates whose qualifying exam is equivalent to Class 12 completed from a state board must also choose this code.
Code 4: Candidates who have passed a Pre-professional/Pre-medical exam after passing either the Higher Secondary Exam or the Pre-University or an equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English must choose this code.
Code 5: Candidates who are pursuing the 3 years’ degree course with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology as major subjects and have qualified the first year are required to choose this code.
Code 6: Candidates who have qualified the BSc degree from an Indian University with at least 2 subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Biology /Bio-technology must choose this code.
Code 7: Candidates who have passed any other exam which is equivalent to the 10+2 Science exam with practicals from a recognised University/Board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology have to select this code. Students who have completed the qualifying exam from a University located in a foreign country are also required to fill in this code. The equivalency of such a course with Class 12 of Indian Boards will be determined by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). If the marks obtained in the qualifying exam are in grades then the equivalent marks obtained will also be determined by AIU.
