About Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur
The Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur came into existence in 1992 with the passing of the Manipur Higher Secondary Act, 1992 (Manipur Act 4 of 1992) by the Manipur Legislative Assembly. The board is responsible for setting the curriculum or syllabus designing, conducting school examinations and making textbooks available for Class I to Class X. COHSEM conducted its first Higher secondary Examinations in 1993.
