IES Preparation Tips 2025- IES is one of the popular and sought-after jobs in India. Every year, a large number of engineering graduates appear for UPSC IES (Indian Engineering Services) examination. But due to  the limited number of seats, it is considered as one of the toughest exams in India. Indian Engineering services, also known as Engineering Services Exam (ESE) are conducted by UPSC every year.

1. Pay Attention to Technical Subjects

To clear IES 2024 examination, it is very important to start preparing pretty early. In fact, it is advisable to start preparing for engineering services while pursuing your graduation. It will help you to learn each and every subject in details; you can easily cover most of the topics in your graduation years. Just remember not to skip any topic and try to clear your concepts. Basic understanding of subjects is very important and helps a lot in your preparation process.

2. Solve IES Previous Year’s Papers

Proper analysis of previous year papers also plays a vital role to crack IES 2023 examination. Collect past ten years question papers and IES 2025 Sample Papers and go through them one by one. Pick the most frequently asked topics and questions and pay extra attention to them as it will help you to score well in ESE examinations. Also, try to observe the pattern of the question paper and prepare accordingly.

3. Make Subject Wise Notes

Pick the IES 2025 syllabus and start studying subject wise. Select the best book according to the syllabus. Pick 2-3 subjects at a time and give 2 hours to each subject regularly. Many people often get scared of the general studies section. To prepare this section, stay updated with all the current happenings in the nation and all over the world. 6. Learn Time Management

Along with setting targets, time management plays a vital role to clear any examination. Time is a very crucial factor while taking the exam. Don’t stick too long on one question. If you have doubts and confusion regarding any question, leave it and move to next one. Try to save as much time as you can. Also, increase your reading and writing speed. Practice at home so that you can do well in examination also. Solve at least 4-5 practice sets in a day. It will definitely help you to have better time management.

Manage your timetable and stick to it. Do not forget to take small breaks between your study times as it will help you to keep your mind fresh and relax.
