IBPS RRB Cut off 2018– Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will release the IBPS RRB Cut Off along with the declaration of final IBPS RRB result. Candidates will have to secure the desired Cutoff of IBPS RRB 2018 to qualify each level of the recruitment process. The IBPS RRB 2018 Cut off will largely depend on the number of candidates appeared in the exam, vacancies available and difficulty level of the paper. The Cut off of IBPS RRB will be decided by IBPS. To get shortlisted for the next round, the candidates will have to secure the minimum qualifying marks and above in each test and also in aggregate scores. The recruitment through this exam will be made broadly for two categories of vacancies Group A Officers (Scale – I, II, III) and Group B Office Assistants (Multipurpose)

How IBPS RRB Cut off 2018 will be decided?

IBPS RRB Cut off 2018 will be applied in three stages :

  • On the basis of candidates’ scores in each separate section.
  • On Total Weighted Score (TWS)
  • On TWS against 3 times the number of vacancies as reported by RRBs for shortlisting for Interviews.

IBPS RRB Cut off 2018- Details and Benefits

There are various benefits of knowing the IBPS RRB Cutoff 2018:

  • Knowing the cutoff helps the candidate understand the general pattern of examination which they are going to face in the examination.
  • The score which they must obtain in order to pass the examination successfully and easily.
  • The cutoff score for different posts are different and hence they can understand the required marks to get through any post examination.

Through this IBPS RRB Cut off 2018 score the exam officials will prepare the final merit list for recruitment, based on the score in CWE and interview. Candidates are suggested to have a look at the previous year stats of cutoff to have an idea of the ideal attempts they must make in the CWE. It would help them to know how many attempts must be made so as to clear the cutoff. There would be a deviation of 10-15 marks (approx.) from last year’s total cutoff of 2nd stage.

IBPS RRB Interview Cut off

The total marks of Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks / scores in interview for Officers Scale I, II and III is 40% (35% for SC / ST/OBC/PWD candidates). The relative weightage (ratio) of CWE and interview will be 80:20 respectively for the Officers cadre.

Arriving at the weighted scores in IBPS RRB 2018 

  • For Office Assistant- Total Weighted Score = Scores obtained in (Reasoning 1.25 + Numerical Ability1.25 + General Awareness 1.00 + English Language/ Hindi Language 1.00 + Computer Knowledge 0.50)
  • For Officer Scale-I- Total Weighted Score = Scores obtained in (Reasoning 1.25 + Quantitative Aptitude 1.25 + General Awareness 1.00 + English Language/ Hindi Language 1.00 + Computer Knowledge 0.50)
  • For Officer Scale-II (GBO) and Officer Scale-III– Total Weighted Score = Scores obtained in (Reasoning 1.25 + Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation 1.25 + Financial Awareness 1.00 + English Language/ Hindi Language 1.00 + Computer Knowledge 0.50)
  • For Officer Scale-II in Specialist Cadre- Total Weighted Score = Scores obtained in (Reasoning 1.00 + Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation 1.00 + Financial Awareness 1.00 + English Language/ Hindi Language 0.50 + Computer Knowledge 0.50 + Professional Knowledge 1.00)
