Gujarat RTE Admission 2026-27- The online registration for the first round of Gujarat RTE Admission 2026-27 started on April 4, 2026. The RTE Gujarat registration form is available at rte.orpgujarat.com.  The last date to apply for Gujarat RTE Admission 2026 is April 17 till 12 pm.Parents can apply for Class 1 admissions online

The RTE Act provides free education. It is for children from weaker and disadvantaged groups. They can get admission in private schools. As per the law, 25% seats are reserved. These seats are in Class 1 and up to Class 8 in private schools.

Students admitted under this scheme get financial help. They receive Rs 3,000 per year. The money is sent directly to the parents’ bank accounts. It helps cover books, transport, footwear, and other needs.

Gujarat RTE Admission 2026-27 Eligibility Criteria

The family income must be less than Rs 6 lakh per year. The child must be at least 6 years old.

Parents must upload required documents while filling Gujarat RTE admission form

  • Date of birth proof
  • Address proof
  • Caste or category certificate
  • Income certificate

Some applicants may need to submit an income tax return. If not filed, they must give a self-declaration of income.

Previous Year Data

In 2025, a total of 2,38,916 applications were received and a total of 86,274 seats were allotted in the first round. Out of these, 80,378 admissions were confirmed by May 8.
