AFCAT Salary 2025: Pay Scale, Allowances & Perks

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has specified the AFCAT 2025 salary for qualified candidates. As per the 7th Pay Commission, the starting salary for AFCAT 2025 officers ranges from Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,00,000. In addition to the basic pay, candidates will receive various perks and benefits. AFCAT Salary 2025 – Training Stipend

During training, cadets will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 56,100 (starting pay at Level 10). Upon successful completion of training, their salary will be fixed in the first cell of Level 10 of the pay matrix for Commissioned Officers. Flight cadets will continue to receive a fixed stipend throughout their one-year training period.

AFCAT Allowance given to IAF Officer 

The allowances are relevant based on the aspect of duty/ place of posting and it includes Flying, Technical, Field Area, Special Compensatory (Hill area), Special Force, Siachen, Island Special Duty, Test Pilot & Flight Test Engineer, Area, and Remote Locality Allowance. Other allowances such as Transport Allowance, Children Education Allowance, HRA, etc. are also acceptable to Officers. In addition, the following allowances are lawful to the newly Commissioned Officers in Flying and Technical Branches. AFCAT Promotion & Growth 

Promotions are proposed on the basis of the performances. But all officers must attend the C examination which comprises General Knowledge and post interesting topics for departmental promotion and to strive for promotion in ranks. If an employee completes six years of service, they are ranked as the Squadron leader. Candidates who have assisted for three years as Flying Officers are promoted to Flight Lieutenant.
